FALL, SPRING AND SUMMER INTERNSHIPS
City Theatre is a professional theatre company founded in February 1996 and dedicated to the solicitation, development and production of original work by established and emerging playwrights from South Florida and throughout the nation.
Our four-part mission is: to bring the nation’s best new 10-minute plays to South Florida audiences, to expand educational outreach opportunities to under-served populations, and to create a forum and network for playwrights to learn and collaborate.
Our internship program is designed to give participants experience in the production process and theatre management along with a general understanding of how a professional theater company functions. Interns are assigned to a specific track so as to provide practical experience in their personal area of focus. Students are encouraged to apply for class credit with their Theater Arts Department.
