A lineup of four ten-minute plays for young audiences
On tour at Miami-Dade County Middle Schools

Made for Middle School audiences, the popular SHORT CUTS Tour features a cast of professional actors performing four new 10-minute plays! These age and theme-appropriate short plays are written by local playwrights who reflect our community. This fast-paced and entertaining program empowers young audiences, ages 10-14, to deal with relatable issues impacting them today. The SHORT CUTS live, in-school show is often the first time students experience live theater!
The SHORT CUTS Tour is presented for FREE at Miami-Dade County Public Schools! The run time is approximately 40 minutes. Along with the live performance, this program includes a study guide with additional information and resources to accompany the show.
Teachers and administrators are encouraged to schedule a 10–15-minute talkback between students and City Theatre artists after the show. These conversations explore themes and topics presented in the works, as well as provide students the opportunity to discuss dramatic literature and careers in the arts.

SHORT CUTS at Pinecrest Gardens!
Brought to you by the producers of the SUMMER SHORTS Festival,
this hour-long show features four family-friendly new plays
by South Florida playwrights!
Kick off the fun at 6 pm! Enjoy pre-show entertainment and refreshments available for purchase at the concession stand.
At 7 pm, SHORT CUTS will be live onstage at the Pinecrest Gardens Banyan Bowl! This fast-paced program of 4 short plays is geared toward kids ages 10-14 and their families.
After the show, the audience is invited to ask questions and have a conversation with City Theatre artists about the shows, themes raised in the plays, and life as a theater professional. Run-time: 60 minutes.
